I was expecting an authentic Carribbean experience. Food was edible. Nothing great. I wouldn't return.

This is the worse place to eat. Yesterday my daughter and I came all the way from south east wash dc in the snow to get some food When I got home and started to eat, my chicken was old, and dry. The beef patties was not filled all the way. For 18.00 I expected better. Not all jamaican restaurants can cook. Just shut the place down. Nasty food.

I have been in DC for ten years and when I came to Howard I was genuinely happy about some Caribbean Cuisine like my moms home-cooking (my family is from Trinidad and Tortola (BVI). Wellllll this food is not Caribbean cuisine to me, not Jamaican either. I just...don't enjoy the food. If I am to eat here I would get the cocoa bread because you can't go wrong. The cabbage to me is too oily and the curry chicken just doesn't taste like curry chicken to me. Oh they normally have dessert, like cakes and stuff that aren't that bad. I personally just don't enjoy the food. Location is convenient, especially for Howard students. Service isn't that bad. And honestly, they have a good flow of people so I may be in the minority as far as people who don't like their food. I gave it two starts because I do go grab rice and gravy when I am starving, and my boss loves their coco bread and beef patty. But if i wanted West Indian food, I personally would not go here.
